This & That

I have not forgotten...

Seriously...I have not forgotten about all of you people in blog land.  I have tried TWICE to do a post with pics that are oh so cute and I have failed.  Now my computer has had a makeover and I downloaded Firefox....because Internet Explorer and my computer do not go well together.  I am working tonight and then heading to my memere's to sew on the black spots for Julia's Dalmatian costume.  I tried to use the fabric glue, but they just kept on falling off.

Today...after I tried to post all my super cute pics of ballerinas and hockey players and failed...I got a MAJOR project accomplished!  I overhauled Jacob's room.  I LOVE it when that finally happens.  Four large trash bags of trash and two large bags for goodwill and it is sparkling clean.   He has a serious case of the "don't throw anything aways" hence the FOUR trash bags.  He's only 10(almost) so I will forgive him...for now :)

Off to go pick up the kids from school and then to work tonight. 

Yuck...

It's raining.

It's windy.

It's gray and dreary.

It makes me feel gloomy.

In order to counteract that gloomies I am going to highlight the good things that are happening today.

• I finally finished the Gratitude Journal sample for an upcoming class.  It's cute.  You should come and take my class :)
• Dean worked from home today.
• I had leftover malai kofta for lunch
• There are no dishes in the sink.
• Large tea with two teabags a splash of milk and two splenda
• Jacob got his book order today - Guiness Book of World Records 2007 is keeping both kids VERY quiet and occupied on Jacob's bed.
• My gas tank isn't on E
• Tonight is the first school council meeting of the year.

Those are the highlights.  I am also going to share these pics from last week.  I brought the kids to my parents house last week for a visit and got some cute pics of them feeding/chasing the seagulls.  I love the beach in the fall.  It's such a different place.  Empty of all tourists but still beautiful to behold.  No beach chair and flip-flops but I still love it.

so....those are the meds I am on right now.  I finally broke down and went to the Dr. today.  UGH!

Tomorrow is a new day and I am sure that after a full nights sleep I WILL FEEL BETTER TOMORROW.

That is my mantra and I am sticking to it.

Time to make apple butter.

I have soooooooo many apples left!  I am thinking about making apple butter.  I have NEVER done anything like that.  But, I thought it would be fun to try and make apple butter and preserve it in jars and give as gifts.  I have never done any preserving before but I might just give it a shot.  Who doesn't love a homemade gift?  I often like a handmade gift way more than anything somebody could buy me.  Okay, if you want to buy me a new SLR or Laptop or Coach bag I would like that A LOT, but 2nd best would be something homemade.  Let's hope that the rest of my family and friends thinks that way too.....Do you????

What a great time we had apple picking last weekend in New Hampshire.  It was a late night on Friday teaching a class at the store until 9:30 and then driving up to Concord, but I just wanted to be sure that we were there for one FULL day because we had to leave pretty early on Sunday morning so that I could be back to work by noon. 

It was exhausting, but well worth it.  Here are a few of my favorite pics and I am putting a photo album up on the right for the rest that didn't make the "front page" cut :)
